Job seekers met death in Abuja



Unemployment is a particular challenge, with an estimate 37.5 percent of under 25s out of work, according to national Bureau of Statistics.

This morning (15th March 2014) at the National stadium Abuja, the Federal Government recruitment drive for job seekers in the immigration department, thousands of youths who are seeking for job, at least seven person met death as stampede claim their life, leaving other injured.








One witness said the stampede broke out as applicant surged towards a central stage. They said one entrance to the 60,000-capacity stadium was open. it was unclear how many people were inside at the time of the crush.
the young woman, who had regained consciousness at the hospital but could barely more her body, she was desperate after having lost the original of her University diploma in the stampede.
