The CEO of DB Records has just confirmed the signing of Tonto Dike on his record label.

Alison-Madueke Diezani has been nominated for OPEC's Secretary Gen.

 This news  was revealed by  Iraq’s oil minister, Abdul Kareem Luaibi, on Tuesday, according to a report. The nomination was done by President Jonathan. This is coming on time because the minister for Petroleum Resources is on her toes with the aircraft sandal.

Kano: Emir Sanusi performs duty from Govt House.

After 24 hour that the new Emir Mallam Sanusi Lamido has received his appointment letter he is yet to resume in to his palace due to youth protester, the Palace is under lock and key, security Policemen have been deployed there to secure the palace from the protest following the appointment.

The new Emir Sanusi Lamido has continue to perform his official functions  but at the Kano State Government House. He received  important visitors that includes the Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole, his Imo State counterpart, Rochas Okorocha, and Chief Aliko Dangote.

The Tradition is that after the Turban and the appointment letter , he should resume to the palace to perform his royal duties but due to security reasons.
Sanusi also received   the four   Kano kingmakers, who presented him with his traditional regalia( the regalia comprises the twin spear or sword (Lagwayen masu), a Dabo hat, a pair of ostrich plumage shoes.) and instrument of office ahead of his coronation .

 Magaji Majia,( Public Relations Officer, Kano State Police Command ) urged parents and guardians to ensure that their children and wards did not join others to threaten the peace of the city.

Nigerian Millitary killed Boko haram memeber during a battle encounterd

Yesterday the Military killed over 50 terrorists in Borno. The suspended terrorist who to attacked selected communities were ambushed by troops along  Bilta, Borno state.

The military launched attack on the terrorists as they filed out of the forest to embark on their mission at about 10pm on Saturday.  Over 50 terrorists died in the fierce encounter that ensued, while 30 rifles, 36 Hand Grenades, 7 Machine guns and 11 Rocket Propelled grenade tubes were captured by the troops.  Also recovered from the terrorists were over 3,500 rounds of ammunition, 6 smoke grenade canisters and locally fabricated guns as well as 4 vehicles used by the terrorists in the foiled attack.

General Muhammadu Buhari's congratulatory messages to HRH Sanusi Lamido Sanusi

 The Former Head of State under the Military regime. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari GCFR under sends a congratulatary message to the new Emir. HRH Sanusi Lamido Sanusi below are his exact words:

 After attending the burial of the late emir Alhaji Ado Bayero I am renewing my condolences to the new emir, Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Sanusi and the people of Kano and the country on the death of Alhaji Ado Bayero.

I am forwarding my congratulations to you for assuming the office of emir of this historic land, a position once occupied by great historical figures such as Muhammadu Rumfa, Ibrahim Dabo, Abdullahi Bayero, and Muhammadu Sanusi. I hope you will be worthy successor to those great men.

You have been chosen by God and so you should fear God and treat all the people of Kano as those under your care and supervision. You should cultivate all and exclude none.

Your immediate duty is to rally the people to support the government in fighting terrorism and unrest. You should also bring your wealth of experience in assisting the economic revival of the state and the country.

PDP congratulate Emir Sanusi, saying it will not play politics with Tradition

PDP yesterday came out from their hiding shell and congratulate the new Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi on his inauguration, saying it will not play politics with tradition.

 PDP, said they pray for the new Emir and urge him to ensure that the sanctity of the throne and traditional institution are absolutely guarded and preserved.

According to Sahara reporters, Pres. Good luck Jonathan, who worked to frustrate the emergence as Emir Sanusi, has yet to congratulate him.
