Kano: Emir Sanusi performs duty from Govt House.





After 24 hour that the new Emir Mallam Sanusi Lamido has received his appointment letter he is yet to resume in to his palace due to youth protester, the Palace is under lock and key, security Policemen have been deployed there to secure the palace from the protest following the appointment.

The new Emir Sanusi Lamido has continue to perform his official functions  but at the Kano State Government House. He received  important visitors that includes the Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole, his Imo State counterpart, Rochas Okorocha, and Chief Aliko Dangote.

The Tradition is that after the Turban and the appointment letter , he should resume to the palace to perform his royal duties but due to security reasons.
Sanusi also received   the four   Kano kingmakers, who presented him with his traditional regalia( the regalia comprises the twin spear or sword (Lagwayen masu), a Dabo hat, a pair of ostrich plumage shoes.) and instrument of office ahead of his coronation .

 Magaji Majia,( Public Relations Officer, Kano State Police Command ) urged parents and guardians to ensure that their children and wards did not join others to threaten the peace of the city.
