The Nigerian Police Force Public relation Office, Frank Mba, have confirmed the arrest of another high ranking member of the dreaded sect Boko haram.
He also said the suspect was arrested along Darazo-barika road while fleeing from the intensive counter insurgency operation going around the Balmo forest.
The suspect Mohammed Zakari who is from Kaigamari village, daptchari in Darazo local govt., area in Bauchi State, is self styled that is the cheif butcher of the sect at the Balmo forest and is linked with the recent slaughter of seven persons including women and children and aldo linked to the April attack against custome officers at the Kari town along Maiduguri road in Bauchi State.
Meanwhile The Police command has called on the citizens in the affected area to be more vigilant on any suspicious moves from the Balmo forest and also seek for more understanding and support of the public for the effort of the police and other security agencies on the fight against terrorist.
