A High Tension cable Electrocute a pregnant mother when trying to save her daughter in (Onabanjo-Oworoshoki)Lagos


The heavy wind that blow on Thursday morning around 1.00am, blew a high tension cable which fell on a Toyota Camry and burnt to ashes leaving at least four persons dead and one person injured.

An eyewitness said the heavy wind started around 1am this morning. The high tension cable fell on the car where the owner stored fuel in large quantity for sell. The owner sells Black market fuel and stores gallons of petrol in the car. When the cable fell on the car and caught fire. Persons living on the street all ran out to see what is happening, unfortunately a little girl ran out of their house where the Toyota Camry was parked, she unknowing stepped on the cut high tension cable when her mother (a pregnant woman) got Electrocuted when trying to save her.

 The son of the petrol seller  died when trying  put off the fire. The husband of the pregnant woman poisoned himself after losing his only child and heavily pregnant wife.  He said he has nothing to live for.
 The black-market fuel seller flee with her husband before neighbor could say jack. The dead bodies has been taken to longe Hospital.

Another eyewitness said for every 10 buildings around the area Oworoshoki at lease one house sells black-market fuel. People are endangering their  lives by keeping large quantity of fuel/ selling fuel at residential area.
