At last! The dramatic moment Pro-Russian rebels finally handed over the two MH17 black boxes to Malaysian investigators after days of negotiations

The MH17 black boxes have been handed over to the Malaysian investigation team in Ukraine, it was revealed last night.

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said that the boxes were handed over to the Malaysian team in Donetsk at 9pm Ukraine time.

The small handing over ceremony has finally solved the question as to what had happened to the two vital devices.

It was not immediately known what the Malaysian team would do with the black boxes, but there was speculation they would pass the boxes on to experts with experience of reading the data.

Mr Najib revealed that in recent days the team had been working quietly behind the scenes to establish contact with 'those' - a reference to the rebels - in charge of the MH17 crash site.

Remains of 282 people, currently in Torez, will be moved by train to Kharkiv, where they will be handed over to representatives from the Netherlands.

The Prime Minister said that in another breakthrough an independent international investigation team would be guaranteed safe access to the crash site to begin a full investigation.

 Mr. Najib said

'I must stress that although agreement has been reached, there remain a number of steps required before it is completed.

Steven Gerrard had resigned from National football

Gerrard has announced his retirement in the England football to face his football career in his club side, Liverpool. The 34-year-old cited Liverpool's involvement in the Champions League as a key factor behind his decision, having excelled on Merseyside last season when the club had no continental commitments.

And Carragher, who retired from the game a year ago, believes Gerrard will be able to give Liverpool two or three more years of sterling service after departing the international arena.

He told Sky Sports News: "For Liverpool football club, it's a great decision. I am sure the Liverpool supporters will be happy.

"You get a fresher Steven Gerrard. He had a great season last season with the demands of England.

"But there will be more demands on Liverpool this season, more expected because of the season they had last year, and Steven Gerrard is still a vital part of Liverpool - and I think he will be for the next two or three years, so for Brendan Rodgers, it's a great decision by Stevie."

Despite Gerrard's decision to step down, Carragher believes his former colleague could have continued for England, and believes national boss Roy Hodgson will have a tough time replacing the former skipper.

"I think he has shown that throughout his career, he has been able to deal with the demands of Liverpool and England.

Farrah... Ex-Destiny Child was arrested for disorderly conduct.

 

Farrah Franklin of Former Destiny’s Child was arrested in South Carolina early Sunday Morning for disorderly conduct….was booked into the Horry County Detention Center in Conway around 5AM.

She was with the group Destiny’s Child in 2000 for about five months before Beyonce and Kelly Rowland  pass the bait to her .

So far, it's unclear what led to the arrest ... but a report said she was ticketed for disorderly conduct for alcohol was definitely involved. She was later released Sunday afternoon on bond.

Malaysia Airlines plane carrying 295 people shot down in missile strike near Ukraine-Russia border

Several reports has confirmed that the Malaysia Airlines passenger plane that crashed near the Ukraine-Russia border Thursday was shot down by a surface-to-air missile.

 The Source of the Missile remained unknown and both government officials and pro-Russia separatists fighting in the region denied responsibility.

There were 295 people on board, 280 passengers and 15 crew members. Ukrainian authorities told U.S. Embassy officials that everyone on the plane was "believed dead" and that the aircraft debris was scatted over a 10-mile swath of land, ABC News reported.
In the reports released by the Malaysia Airlines  is that 233 national, 154 are Dutch,27 are Australian, 23 Malaysian,11 persons are Indonesian,6persons are Britsh,4 are Germans,4 are Belgian,3 are Filipino and a Canadian, 47 persons nationals are yet to be known and 15persons are the crew on the Malaysian airline.

An aide to Ukraine's interior minister quoted by Interfax claimed the total number of dead in the crash was more than 300 and included 23 U.S. citizens.

Good news for all Public servants in Lagos.- Maternity leave extended to 6months

The Lagos State government has Okayed a-10day Paternity leave for any Male Civil servant and extended the 3months maternity leave for the female servant to 6Months. This was said by the Special Adviser to Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola S.A.N on Public Health, Dr. Yewande Adeshina, She said:

Any Female Officer shall be entitled to Twenty-Four weeks (6Months) Maternity leave alone side her full monthly salary in case of her first two deliveries, which will commence at least  two weeks before her expected  time of delivery date to implement the recommended exclusive breast feeding after delivery while Male office will be entitled to 10 working days (2weeks)
