Former Governor's Son Raheed Ladoja dead in a fatal accindent on Eko Bridge

 

 The former Governor of Oyo State Rasheed Ladoja  Son(Adebola Ladoja) was involved in a fatal accident which claimed his life on the Eko Bridge,Lagos on Thursday. He was driving a Golf saloon car and was said to be on his way to Lagos Island when a Daf truck rammed into his car.
 
An eye witness said “It took several hours before the victim could be rescued from the wreckage of the vehicle. He was trapped behind the wheels with blood gushing out of his head.”
  Lagos State Police spokesperson, Ngozi Braide said

 “At about 3.30pm on the Eko Bridge, Lagos Island, a Daf truck with number plate, JJJ 59 XA, driven by one Justice Oseghai, ran into a Volkswagen Golf saloon car, marked, AKD 107 CJ, driven by one Adebola Ladoja, the son of a former governor of Oyo State, Senator Rasheed Ladoja.The victim died on the spot. The corpse has been removed to the Lagos Island General Hospital mortuary for autopsy while the truck driver has been arrested.”

Three Popular Borno Emirs attacked By B'Haram and killed Emir of Gwoza

The extremist Boko Haram sect has kidnapped two first class traditional rulers in Borno state – the Emir of Uba, Ismaila Mamza and the Emir of Gwoza, Idrisa Timta, security officials aware of the incidence have told our reporter.
The two emirs were seized by gun-wielding insurgents at 10a.m Friday near Shaffa while they were travelling to Gombe to attend the funeral of the Emir of Gombe, Shehu Abubakar, who died on Tuesday evening at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London, where he was undergoing treatment for cancer.
However, the Director of Defence Information, Maj. Gen Chris Olukolade, confirmed that the Emir of Gwoza died in the attack while Special Forces on deployment in Garkida rescued the Emirs of Askira and Uba.
“A band of terrorists today attacked the emirs of Gwoza, Uba & Askira who were travelling to Gombe for the funeral of the late Emir of Gombe.
“Troops deployed in Garkida responded to the attack. The emirs of Uba and Askira were secured, while the body of Emir Gwoza who died in the attack has been recovered.
