The Ascon Filling Station in Lekki is currently on fire. FIRE BRIDGERS  are there trying to put off, it seems to be spreading to the Round-about and the Lekki-Ikoyi bridge.

This ugly incident has really destroyed cars along the road and in the Filling station.

Breaking News: Court dismissed suits filed against the disqualification of APC’s presidential candidate

The case of questioning the credibility of the All Progressives congress’s candidate Gen. Muhammadu  Buhari has been adjourned till after election.

It was heard yesterday March 24th was adjourned to today and on getting to the Federal High Court in Abuja this morning, the presiding judge, Justice Adeniyi Ademola adjourned the case to April 22nd after dismissing applications by two intended parties to join the suit as defendants.

First lady describes APC as dead and March 28th is the party burial day.

 During women’s rally in Anambra State Today the First lady Mrs. Dame Jonathan said APC’s burial day is on the 28^th March as the party is as gone as dead, in her words, she said

“Imagine the deputy of a whole director-general of the APC presidential campaign decamping, does that not show that the party is dead? The party is dead and buried and March 28 is its burial. The party will not live again. When you start answering old drugs, expired drugs, then you know that your death is coming closer. The way things are going, APC will soon bear Ebola. Is Mbakwe (former Imo state governor) corrupt? Yet you jailed him. What of Jim Nwobodo (former Anambra state governor)? Yet you jailed him. Don’t support a man that would imprison your mother and father. Jonathan is our messiah. He made Ihejiriaka the chief of army staff and has helped many of our people. Igbos are not fools. We know whom to support. PDP has come to stay."

LASU announces compultory break due to Election

The management of LASU- Lagos State University has announced the compulsory break due to the forth coming election on the 28^th March.

The announcement was made on the 23^rd march 2015, as below

In view of the forthcoming national and state elections scheduled for March 28th and April 11th respectively, the university management of Lagos State University has declared a recess for both staff and students with effect from Monday March 23rd. Students and staff are therefore advised to vacate the campus immediately. The date of resumption will be announced later. Signed management.

Another deputy governor decamped from APC to PDP

The politics in Nigeria seems to more interesting as another Deputy Governor decamp to an opposition Party.

Rotimi Amaechi follower, who has been his deputy since 2007 . Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Tele Ikuru has since been campaigning with APC till today now decamps to PDP.

According to source, his reason for decamp is yet to be talk about. It was a big surprise for APC as it is barely a week to the election day.

Fayose should Stop Embarrassing our Family -Elder Brother Warns

The Ekiti State Governor’s Elder brother Mr. Segun Fayose has appealed to his younger brother which is the present Governor of Ekiti State to put an end to the embarrassment he brought to their family.

According to the Nation, Segun Fayose said Obasanjo and Buhari are old enough to be their father. Segun Fayose is an Accountant based in UK.

 Segun said: 

“It is a pity Nigerians are celebrating criminals. I am angry with Nigerians for electing somebody like Ayodele as governor. My children cannot come to Nigeria because of the terrible situation of our country. 

I don’t have a relationship with any of our leaders because of their criminality and anybody who says I collected money from  the opposition should step forward to challenge me. Ekiti and Nigeria are bigger than Fayose’s name and both names should be protected.I don’t want anything from anybody, but Ayo should stop insulting and abusing my father’s name. As a result of Fayose’s attitude, many people believe the Fayose family is rude but it is far from the truth.

“I have spoken to him many times, but he refused to listen. Buhari and Obasanjo are old enough to be his father and I don’t know why he should be insulting them.
“I am always sad with the situation of this country. Ayo’s arrogance is one of the reasons I said people should not vote for him prior to the Ekiti governorship election. If all I am saying is not true, my six children should die and I should end up in shame.

“Most of us abroad are not happy with the situation of Nigeria. We are sad. When people call mefrom Ekiti to complain about Ayo, I tell them to forgive the family. People should not see Ayo as an ambassador of our family.”

The Famous American Singer Miley Cyrus will land into trouble if the investigation on her twerking with the Mexican flag offensive.

During her performance in the occasion which took place in the  capital and largest city of the northeastern part of the State of Nuevo León in the country of Mexico to celebrate the Independence of Mexica, on Sept 16^th .  While performing in the presence of large audience, she started twerking and one of her dancers wiped her extreme big prosthetic bu’tt with the Mexican flag and that was the lightening rod.

Miley’s performance was always know for provocative, when she started twerking to others it was business as usual not know to her that some lawmakers took it offensive, that it was disrespect for their national flag and symbol , and could be a punishable offence if found guilty in accordance to seriousness and the condition of the person who commits them.

The former CBN Gov. has refused to own up to his mistakes concerning the alleged missing oil funds.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has accused Former CBN Gov. Sanusi Lamido  after the recent audit conducted by  PWC showed that NNPC only expected to remit USD1.4Billion.

In a recent interview which was granted by the Emir of Kano, Sanusi II, former CBN Gov. to CNN during the interview which  was aired on Wednesday, March 18, he said 

 “My position in the Central Bank was that there was always this gap of $20bn after reconciliation between what the NNPC exported and what it deposited into the Federation Account. I raised a number of issues that I think have not yet been discussed and addressed sufficiently,” 

Petroleum Minister younger brother was kdnapped by unknown gunmen.

Joseph Agama, Mrs. Alison –Madueke’s younger brother, was kidnapped on Thursday 18^th by unknown gunmen.

According to reports, the incident happened around 12.30am in Yenagoa, the State Police spokesperson (Asinm Butswat) said rescue efforts are in place to get the victim back.

Recall that it’s barely 5 months when the Minister’s Sister (Osiyo Agama) was kidnapped in port Harcourt and later rescued.

Jega Lists Criteria For Accreditation Of Election Observers

The Independent national Electoral commission (INEC) professor Attahiru Jega has announced the requirement for accreditation of observers who will be monitoring the forth coming Election, March 28^th and April 11 general.  He said have accredited over Eighty local and international observer group which be deployed all across the country.

Prof. Jega had confirmed the readiness of the electoral body to conduct the 2015 general election scheduled. He also expressed concern about the security personnel that will be deployed to the north-east where troops are battling with Boko Haram.

Insurgents Will Not Take Control Of Any Town Again – Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan vowed that Boko Haram will not takeover any town/village again. He made this statement during a PDP rally in Damatuiru, Yobe on Thursday.

Mr. President also expressed his happiness that Yobe has been freed from Boko Haram and some towns are been recaptured from the terrorist by our troops.

 In his words, he said any attempt by the sect member or any group to take control of any territory will be resisted. He also condole the people of the state for their losses as a result of the terrorist. He promised his administration will be committed to improving the lives of people despite the terrorist activities.

Casts Your Votes And Go Home, No Waiting At Polling Booths – IG Tells Nigerians

The Inspector-General of Police, Suleiman Abba, on Thursday has sounded a warning to voters to return to their homes after casting their votes on election days.

 Mr. Abba said,

‘‘Two to three police officers will be attached to each polling unit, and we would provide more officers for the collation centres and for the managers of the elections.

We will go on to protect the electorate. Every eligible voter should feel safe enough to cast his votes. We will be there to protect the votes and make sure no one disrupts the process.”

He added that

“Cast your votes and go and cool down. If you remain there, there is a likelihood that you will commit an offence.’’

Former Minister. Musiliu Obanikoro gets an insignificant “Ministerial position”

At a meeting with the Federal Executive Council in Abuja on Wednesday, President Jonathan deploy the Obanikoro  the former  Minister of Defence to the position of Minister of State for Foreign Affairs II, a position harshly lower in prestige the his former position

Several civil society groups, columnists and opposition senators had opposed Obanikoro’s nomination on account of his involvement in an illegal scheme to use the military to rig last year’s governorship election in Ekiti State. 

 Before his ministerial nomination, Reports had said Obanikoro and some PDP men ordered Brigadier General A.A. Momoh to have his troops detain supporters of incumbent Governor Kayode Fayemi ( now former) in order to boost the electoral prospects of the PDP’s governorship candidate, Ayo Fayose, Sahara Reporters had the auto-tape which went viral and delayed his appointment as a Minister.

A source at the Presidency told Sahara Reporters that President Jonathan was so shaken by the widespread and strong opposition to his nomination of Obanikoro as a minister that he decided to assign the controversial former minister to one of the most obscure cabinet posts. “Even PDP stakeholders in Lagos and the southwest were against Musiliu Obanikoro,” the source disclosed.

During his stint as junior Defense minister, Obanikoro had access to a full range of military arsenal, which included naval choppers that ferried him around Lagos whenever he visited the state.

Obanikoro’s new humiliating post is equivalent to an ambassadorship, a source within the cabinet said.
